Metro Quarry Group are proud of their community engagement and are committed to promoting the extractive industry. Children are given the opportunity to explore and interact with machinery used in every day quarrying.
The school visits are beneficial to the community where the events are fun filled and educational, the events also raise awareness of the extractive industry in which MQG operate.
School visits to MQG Nyora site are a big hit which includes activities ranging from tree planting initiative, insight on what certain machinery does, sand product demonstrations and experiments, 4WD tours of the pit explaining the geology and a visit to the wash plant explaining the washing process of products.
Metro Quarry Group also have a workshop where mechanical engineers design, analyse, manufacture and maintain most all aspects of their mechanical systems.
The school visit program supports and enhances connections with the community to expand children’s experiences, knowledge and understanding of the world in which they live.
